Moriturus te salutat contains a selection of 58 poems that have been written over the course of 12 years. Some are supplemented with scans of original manuscripts, drawings or background information illustrating the creative process.
The protagonists - some of whom are partly autobiographical - speak of hope, love and death, get drunk with Nietzsche, take a swim with the Loch Ness monster, queue up for the abattoir, find their way back to their Happy Place, get raped by the devil, sail on a river of baby tears, take themselves to the dry cleaner, stomp sorrow back in the ground, compare being in love to being addicted to drugs, or wonder if they have been nailed to the cross or if they're still carrying it.
This book is a showcase of the imagination and the soul, with a philosophical essay on 'God', creativity, and the duality of joy and pain.
